We had a great time talking with Frederick and we encourage you to check out their PPC toolset!
Also, this last week we met a great group of college students from Ball State's CADMA program (Center for Advancement of Digital Marketing & Analytics). The program aims to provide students with hands-on experience with marketing technology and get experience in working as a digital marketing agency. They are a one-of-a-kind program for colleges and since they were in our backyard, we wanted to get them on the show!
Be sure to follow their group on Facebook to keep up with the program!
We have interviewed guests all over the world but rarely do we get to talk to someone locally like we did this week. Kyle Lacy, the new VP of Marketing of Lessonly, joined us in our studio this week.
Kyle's career began in Indianapolis having roles with ExactTarget and Salesforce Marketing Cloud before heading off to Boston to work with OpenView, a venture capital firm with over $715M under management focused on expansion-stage software companies.
But has moved back to Indianapolis (about three weeks ago!) to take this role with Lessonly. Kyle has spoken at conferences all over the world and is even the author of Twitter for Dummies.
In this episode, we talk about getting investment dollars for Indianapolis, what he means by "The Knowledge Divide", and his childhood desire to be a Civil War reenactor.
Check out this great episode with Kyle Lacy and we hope to have him on the show again in the near future!
Paddy Moogan, the former florist and law student, is the co-founder of Aira, a digital marketing agency based in the UK. Paddy is a well-known SEO and has been working in SEO since 2004 when he was meant to be studying for a law degree and got bored. He was the VP of Operations at Distilled before leaving in 2015 to start Aira. Paddy is also the author of "The Link Building Book" and has spoken at a number of different conferences including SMX Sydney, MozCon, BrightonSEO, SES, Marketing Festival and SAScon.
In this podcast, Paddy wanted to talk with us about the lessons he has learned in running an SEO agency for the last two years. Like I said earlier, he started Aira in 2015 and it has now grown to 12 people! What has he learned and what advice can he give to other agency owners. Plus, we saw a great presentation that Paddy did at last year's BrightonSEO conference called, "Sustainable Content Marketing." We wanted to discuss with him some of the points he made in that presentation and how you can use them to help build a sustainable content marketing plan for your business or clients (plus earn some great links!)
